Lt.Gannon's new Death Bringer

Thermaltake WingRS 100 Case,Keith Gannon
Thermaltake WingRS 100 Piano-Black Mid-Tower ATX Case
with Front USB and Audio ports

My good friend Chris Donlin came over yesterday and after hanging out for a few hours, in the middle of the third episode of, "Clerks The Animated Series", he got a phone call; Keith Gannon had just bought a new computer...well, all the pieces for a new computer. After leaving CompUSA he came over to my house and we began building.

nForce 6801 SLI Socket

Intel Core 2 Quad Processor

The two of them really worked on this project, I helped here and there, But three people inside a computer case is a little much. They started off with the Motherboard; EVGA nForce 680i SLI Motherboard - T1 Version, NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI, Socket 775, ATX, Audio, PCI Express, SLI, Dual Gigabit LAN, S/PDIF, USB 2.0 & Firewire, Serial ATA,RAID.

They needed to check here and there to make sure that the pieces would fit. Moving on to the power supply and then the processor; Ultra LSP750 750-Watt Power Supply - ATX, SATA-Ready, SLI-Ready, 135mm Fan.
Ultra LSP750 750W Power Supply
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Processor HH80562PH0678MK - 2.66GHz, 8MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB, Kentsfield, Quad-Core, OEM, Socket 775, Processor.

The Video Card looked awesome as soon as we opened the package;
EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB PCI
After getting the processor in the heatsink fan came next....an hour & a half, we moved on. The directions for this fan were, well, somewhat hard to understand...even for me :) The were several ways illustrated to install the fan, but that's not really what people like us were interested in, just tell us straight up what to do.
Finally that issue was solved. the fan went in....and it was the width of a thumb nail to large. However not wanting to screw the fan down to the motherboard to the point where the board could possibly break, we did manage to get it down just enough to where the fan didn't touch. No metal on metal anymore, But to do it over? No! not that fan with that board....They are both pretty cool though.
Western Digital Caviar Hard Drive,EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB PCI,Thermal Take Golden Orb II

Photobucket
The RAM went in just before we went ahead, plugged it in, and turned it on.
Oh, and then we remembered that the, "Power" button needed to be plugged in
Keith Gannon
I always, always hate how the directions for these pins are written up.

Ok, Now we plugged it in and turned everything on...Great! everything seems fine....Now the whole Software part. We used the monitor, mouse, and keyboard from my computer to check everything out.

And Not only does Keith have a new computer,....Though it wasn't a whole running computer until about 4am. But, this morning he decided he wanted to install more RAM, so we might have a project tonight.

Connie Mack snubs fellow candidates....especially Burt Saunders

Connie Mack, the incumbent for the District 14 Congressional race in Florida denies citizens and candidates debate.

=====================================================================================
Burt Saunder's request to Mack:
=====================================================================================

Dear Congressman Mack,

Now that the major party candidates have been selected, southwest Floridians are turning their attention to the November general election. As I travel throughout Congressional District 14, I hear of the enormous problems facing southwest Floridians that must be addressed by Congress. Our constituents want to know where we stand on these issues, and I hope you will join me in informing them of our positions so they can make the best decision in November. I know from my conversations with voters that they are anxious to hear what we have to say on the issues and to see us together to assist them in their decision in November.

I request that we have a series of debates and/or town hall meetings starting in September and ending just prior to the November 4 election day. My campaign staff is ready to work with your staff to coordinate and set up these debates and town hall meetings. We could also request the assistance of the League of Women Voters and other organizations in coordinating these events. I know the media will fully cover these debates, and I am confident our cable providers will air them.

By copy of this letter, I am requesting the assistance of the League of Women Voters in the coordination of these events. I am also copying the media so they can begin to plan their coverage.

I appreciate your consideration of this request and look forward to your prompt response so date and locations can be determined.

Very truly yours,

Burt Saunders

====================================================================================
Mack's response:
====================================================================================

"If and when any challenger to Congressman Mack - whether that is you (Senator Saunders) an Independent, Robert Neeld, a Democrat, or Jeff George, an Independent - becomes a viable opponent we will of course consider their request for a debate" responded Jeff Cohen, campaign manager for the Mack campaign.

MACK SAYS NO TO SAUNDERS' CHALLENGE

Denies voters opportunity to hear candidates

NAPLES, FL - Senator Burt L. Saunders, candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, Congressional District 14, on the urging of many constituents in the district, asked opponent, Congressman Connie Mack to join in a series of debates and town hall meetings to assist the voters with their decision in November.

"Our constituents want to know where we stand on the issues, and I hope you will join me in informing them of our positions so they can make the best decision in November" Senator Saunders wrote in an email to the Mack campaign. "I know from my conversations with voters that they are anxious to hear what we have to say on the issues and to see us together to assist them in their decision in November."

"I have been an elected official in southwest Florida for twenty-two years. I have filed the appropriate qualifying papers with the Federal Election Commission. I have been endorsed by the local and state firefighters associations, the local and state AFLCIO, and the American Nurses Association. My supporters certainly consider me a viable candidate. Congressman Mack is once again out of touch with what the voters want. The voters of this district should be greatly offended at his denying them the opportunity to hear the candidates together in a debate format in order to make an informed decision in November." Senator Saunders said.

"If Congressman Mack were confident about his abilities and the decisions he has made while in Congress, he would have no problem accepting this challenge. With the amount of money Congressman Mack has raised from PACS and special interest groups, perhaps he feels there is no need to participate in standard campaign debates. Perhaps he feels he has enough money to buy votes with television ads and mailings" added Senator Saunders.

Senator Burt Saunders has served the Southwest Florida community for the past twenty-six years as the Collier County Attorney, a member of the Collier County Commission, the Florida House of Representatives and currently the Florida Senate.

GEORGE WANTS DEBATE FOR U.S. HOUSE SEAT

Cape Coral independent says Mack denying voters vital opportunity

FORT MYERS, July 10, 2008 – Congressional candidate Jeff George is ready to debate, even if incumbent Connie Mack is not.

The Cape Coral resident and U.S. Army veteran is joining a growing chorus in calling for a series of public debates this fall involving Mack and all three challengers for the District 14 seat.

“One of my goals since we began this campaign was to make sure that Southwest Florida finally got a chance to see Rep. Mack explain and defend his position in an open forum,” George said.

Fellow independent U.S. House of Representatives hopeful and state Sen. Burt Saunders on Tuesday sent an e-mail to Mack inviting him to participate in a series of town hall meetings or debates that would take place in the two months leading up to the Nov. 4 election.

Jeff Cohen, Mack’s chief of staff, rejected the request in a response sent to Saunders.

"If and when any challenger to Congressman Mack - whether that is you (Senator Saunders) an Independent, Robert Neeld, a Democrat, or Jeff George, an Independent - becomes a viable opponent we will of course consider their request for a debate,” Cohen is quoted as saying in a press release from the Saunders campaign.

George, who is willing to assist any organization in setting up a debate, said Mack is denying his constituents the opportunity they deserve to hear the candidates discuss their views on the issues of utmost importance to Southwest Florida.

“It’s not the job of Connie Mack or Jeff Cohen to determine who is a viable candidate,” George said. “That’s up to the voters to decide, and Congressman Mack needs to realize he’s in office to serve the people of this district, and not the other way around.”

George, part-owner of a video production company, is endeavoring to give the people of Southwest Florida unprecedented access to the inner workings of his campaign.

He has used cameras to provide streaming online video of day-to-day work at his Fort Myers headquarters and document interaction with organizations and individuals across the district.

Those live videos and archived clips of events from the past several months are available on George’s Web site, www.jeffgeorgeforcongress.com.

My opinion:
=================================================================================

This is going to be a pretty good race!
I believe that it's going to come down to the two independents.

~Damian A. Dimock

This is kind of old, but the only thing Bush has done which I was happy about ...

...of course he didn't do it for the right reasons, but a good thing anyways.

You need to start off by watching this youtube.com video:
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGtsfr_HXSI)

Look, both Maddow and Buchanan are correct, the biggest two issues with this program are 1. it's underfunded and 2. it's being abused. It is a great idea, however paying for it via a sin tax only encourages the sin.To maintain a program such as that using the taxes from cigarettes forces the production of new smokers,not to mention that the proposed increase would have put the cigar industry virtually out of business in the USA. Though many might be totally for that, doing so would create a monumental unemployment rate. Increase the regulations; Individuals who are making way over the poverty line are somehow using this program, that's not what it was intended for and find the funding elsewhere; Cut spending and reallocate.

VIACOM: pure evil or just insane?

So today Wired.com posted an article which I believe effects just about anyone with an internet connection. The article is entitled; "Judge Orders YouTube to Give All User Histories to Viacom". To quote the article,"Google will have to turn over every record of every video watched by YouTube users, including users' names and IP addresses, to Viacom, which is suing Google for allowing clips of its copyright videos to appear on YouTube, a judge ruled Wednesday.", unbelievable. So, even though I've never posted a video containing material which the company Viacom owns My Youtube info and Ip address will be handed over to a company I actually hate, not only because of this ruling, or because of the lawsuit they filed, but mostly because of their truely mind-numbing programming. If you've seen the two Boondocks episodes which were not aired, you should know exactly what I mean! Specifically the program choices of Nickelodeon and BET, as a child I used to watch Nickelodeon all the time, my favorite televisions shows were among many others; 'Are you afraid of the dark', 'Rocko's modern life', 'Doug', 'Ren & Stimpy'....I could go on and on, but I won't. If your at all familiar with this network you know these shows are no longer aired, but Viacom has also decided not to release any of these shows on dvd, so what choice do I have if I decided that I wanted to feel nostalgic and watch an episode of, 'Doug'? Well the odds are someone probably got some of the episodes up on Youtube.com, and you know what I'm going to try to find them and watch them! Viacom has left us with very little in the way of choices! For instance, if they were to have released any of these shows on dvd I'd probably own them. As a matter of fact I DO OWN the first two seasons of, 'Pete and Pete', a show originally aired on Nickelodeon. alright, so I can somewhat understand the whole arguement about copyrights, I really can, but why do you need the Youtube.com user's info?? When I created a user account with Youtube.com about two years ago, the little box I check stating that I understood the T.O.S. this wasn't something that was included, I did not agree to what this ruling is demanding of the Youtube web site! I feel that as a user my rights of privacy are being completely destroyed, and why?? Frankly I'm not really sure!!! Sure hold YouTube.com liable for what they let their users posted, if they post material which is copyrighted; Take it down, that's their responsibility. For Christ's sake! I have nothing to do with it, even if I have watched a video someone else posted using copyrighted material! HEY Mr. Redstone, don't you have some dying to do!!!

BLOOD ON THE TURNTABLES

BLOOD ON THE TURNTABLES 2008
CZAR NIGHT CLUB in Tampa, Fl.

Jackal & Hyde feat. Gen xx,
MONK,
RYLE,
nick james,
baker

Hallucination films presenting performers and video effects (VJing and what-not),
visit;
Bloodontheturntables.com
for more info on what you missed!

people we ran into who we knew already;

ourselves;(Justin Zero & I),
Dj Alpha & Adam,
Beat addict & his g/f,
Angel,
Erich the red & Stan (K's brother man).

I think that's it......sorry if it's not.

My drinks;
Mountain dew's new drink voltage (1-20oz on the way up),
two pepsi's at the diner we stopped in,
one weird ass Tanqueray Martini @ Czar
one Jack & Coke (No Ice) @ Czar
one Bacardi & Coke (No Ice) @ Czar
Mountain dew's new drink voltage (2-20oz & 2-cans on the way back)....I know at that point I really should have had water.

Tanqueray Martini from Czar Nightclub in Tampa

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So anyways, I had a goddamned blast!

We got to Ybor early. so we parked($7 in the Czar parking lot), walked to a restroom, ended up using the one in this diner we ate at, I can't remember the name of the place. apparently Mr.Gasper, one of the Dj's who'd later be spinning at the pulp party in the center room at czar ate their earlier...too bad we missed him there. I had a grilled chicken blt wrap....minus the, "t", since the whole tomato scare. It seems a little too ironic that just a short time after burger king caves into the CIW, there's a tomato scare, which is primarily what's grown in Immokolee, anyways.
we ended up walking to the Phat Shack and rumaging through their vinyl collection....all vinyl 50% off too!
we threw the vinyl justin got into his car and headed over to czar. we had tickets at will-call.
hung out in czar's main room for a while watching baker perform, who was already spinning, not the most interesting dj.
went over to the pulp party, justin went up and chatted with Mr.Gasper, nice guy. I asked what kinds of gin they carried, disappointed that they have like ten thousand vodkas and just two gins; Tanqueray and bombay sapphire....BTW, I hate tonic.
went back to czar got a drink and watched nick james spin until RYLE was ready to come on.....That's when shit went down like flight 815!
on a stage decorated with glittered and mirrored chainsaws, huge hockey masks with mini disco balls for eyes, three screens projecting the vj magic of Berkeley Meyer of Monk's co. Hallucination on film, & anywhere from one to four dancing girls (Rain Gurl with Tiny & the sinful bitches) and every now and then performer Mad Maxx who had the presense of the Prodigys Maxium mixed with Kenna and a male stripper. Ryle came out and during his "Saw-esque" intro, one of the dancing girls removes his vinyl zip-across jacket to reveal his....vinyl zip-up shirt, not to mention his moving around to show off his coloured contacts and vampire teeth....Intro ended and we discovered when the industrial music scene was supposed to have gone, an incredible mix of remixes such as Marilyn Manson's "beautiful people", some very club oriented dance tracks, with a blend of hip-hop and top 40/pop music sensibilities.
My personal oppinion, Ryle owned the night.
Monk with his mix of visual/audio humor and all around enjoyable entertainment....was alright. He totally amazed us when we went to see Junkie XL, it was a little obvious that this time around he was just more 'low-key'.
Jackal&Hyde, pretty rad....Until GenXX got on stage, when They suddenly became nothing more than her back-up band.

I had a great time, one which wouldn't even have been possible here in Fort Myers, Fl. (Specifically because everyone is literall forced out of the clubs not unlike the jews being forced either out of germany or into the fire during the holocaust, at around 1:30am, We didn't even leave the club until somewhere around 3:30am this friday, see why no one under 30 wants to live in Faux Town...I mean Fort Myers).

Jeff George for Congress Campaign Update!

Jeff and myself went down to Naples, Fl. today to visit the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. They specifically told Chuck, our Press Secretary, "No Cameras". We're pretty sure that they may have some sort of vague idea what the campaign is about and that we constantly have a camera on, though perhaps they didn't fully understand why...so we brought the camera along. We planned to explain what the filming was all about and perhaps maybe they'd let us shoot. If not, then perhaps we could set up a date where we could come back get a tour, talk about what issues are their priorities, and at that time shoot. The woman we spoke with, Nicole Ryan, who is the Conservancy's, "Government relations", person. She seemed very interested and even more interested that we genuinely wanted to help protect the environment and that we had anticipations to work with them again, and even more so if elected.
So, I pretty much kept Jeff company! That is alright we really didn't expect to do any shooting today anyways. We had a chance to have a nice discussion with these folks about several of the issues, and soon we will be getting a hold of their media person who will give us the clearance to come back and shoot. The big issue with shooting, is that in order for non-profit organizations like this one to maintain that status, one thing that they really cannot do is endorse as a group a candidate running for political office.....and we appreciate and understand that stance, however...we are video taping everything for other reasons. ::cough:: Coconut Road ::cough::
If you're familiar with our campaign than you're probably already aware of a few out our, "buzz words"; TRANSPARENCY, INTEGRITY, & ACCOUNTABILITY. One of the missions of this campaign is to make government more accessible to the everyday citizen, and in doing so we are using as much of the wonderful technology that is available to us. Thus, we have lifecasting via Ustream.tv or perhaps you've seen us on Justin.tv in the past; Jeff is actually life casting, see future congressmen in their natural environment! Anytime Jeff goes to an event, such as a "debate", or a "luncheon" or even a public groups meetings such as the city council or the NAACP, I go with him and I film. We post the RAW footage on google video and the edited clips on youtube.com. We not only want the citizens of this country, as well as those in this district, to see the process, but also to feel that they are more of a part of it. Jeff chats on his webcam pretty frequently, he has no problem talking to anyone about anything. We want to get back to a time where you can trust your government, because you are actually a part of it. The government and all of these seat holders are there just for you!
We are looking forward to meeting up with the people from the conservancy soon.
That's all for now.
I gott go

The United States of America has been described as an experiment, has that experiment failed?

So I've been watching videos with three men, all of whom are running for president; Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, & Ralph Nadar.

these are the best choices for the president of the United States of America! this is what the race should be based upon! But, alas the major media outlets in this country focus on the three worst choices; McCain, Clinton, & Obama. When these media groups bring any of the who actually try to do good in this world and bring about REAL change, they are beaten with the, "There is no way in hell you are going to win!", stick and an obvious attempt is made to try and trick these men into supporting one of the latter mentioned candidates. seriously, do they really think that they are going to get that golden ticket, printed out of trickery?? do they really think that they are going to get Mr. Paul to say that he endorses McCain, because he himself has no chance in this race or that Mr. Nadar or Mr. Gravel are going to endorse one of the Democratic candidates for the very same reason!!

Here's the problem, the real hard and cold problem, a problem that even I every so often desire;

The bulk of Americans have given in, they have a family and a full time job. A wife or a husband, one or two children. They have a mortgage, car payments, insurance, property taxes, they have to worry about making sure that their children are on the bus to school and that they are at their life sucking 9 to 5, or worse job. The majority of Americans have wandered though the wilderness only to find themselves caught in the snares of our so called, "American Dream".

The average American doesn't have time to do the research needed to discover that men such as Ralph Nadar, or Ron Paul, or Mike Gravel are in fact still in the race for president, or to take the time needed to discover who these men are and why they should in fact give these men their endorsement, give them their votes. The average citizen in this country cannot afford the time and effort to be the active participant when it comes to government even though it is one of the expectations as a citizen of this country.

Besides, even if they did, would our government even listen?
Most people, don't think they would.

So our fellow citizens are forced to pay the small amount of attention that they can afford to the news or the paper, who present the same old bias story.

Goddamned this world!

When are outlets such as the real new going to have a larger voice in the world of media?

When can the American people expect to be treated as actual citizens who do have a voice and deserve the whole story?

When can we see a race for president where men like Ron Paul, Ralph Nadar and Mike Gravel are the focus, and stand at the fore?

When can I expect the media and the public to have an opinion and the awareness of other races, The presidential race isn't the only thing that you vote for you know!

Some Reviews...(films)

"Across the Universe" - 3.75

Watched last night;
Pretty much a modern musical.
the cinematography and the editing were excellent.
The plot was too simple, the formula was an incredibly easy one:
It seemed to me like some guy just wanted to make a film around Beatles songs....and tried too hard,
First off, there were characters named; Jude, Lucy, & Prudence......seriously? Come on! (Take a stab at what three songs were used).
Imagery from lyrics + stereotyped 1960's culture & historical events + Love story = "Across the Universe"

see the film, just because the production value is worth it.

"Lost" season one - 5!!

Production value = amazing
plot = amazing
acting = amazing
Frankly everything about it was fantastic
It's soo good I might even go ahead and start watching season 2 on abc.com as soon as I'm done writing this!

I highly recommend that you take the time from your life to watch this!!

"Pan's Labyrinth" - 5

I don't mind reading subtitles, apparently some people do.
Takes place in Spain during their civil war, and perhaps in a young girls mind.
the plot was great, the film contained a perfect balance between reality and fantasy. I appreciated the way the film played out
the violence was vivid, but in small doses.

I recommend you watch this!

"Gone Baby Gone" - 4

Much better than I expected, Casey Affleck is a much better actor than Ben, and I don't understand why he isn't in just as many films.
An unsettling film, with a focus on moral dilemmas.
Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman are both excellent as well.

I'd recommend checking it out, but it's not a must.

"Runaway Jury" - 3.5

John Cusack was great as usual, Though I feel sometimes he's been typecasted.
Gene Hackman, awesome performace. not enough Dustin Hoffman.
It was better than I expected but not as good as it was hyped.
several plot twists, it's a nice story.

It's not a bad film, so I guess if you've seen all the others I've mentioned, check it out.

"Number 23" - 4

Very good film, Jim Carey is great in it. Some how Joel Schumacher made up for Batman Forever.
wonderful imagery, good story. lovely twist.
and a nice sequence with she wants revenge's "tear you apart"

Just go watch it.

Yeah, that's it for now.
I gotta go. later

A little bit of the book I'm working on: "Amongst the chaos, we stood talking about Carl Jung"

Amongst the chaos, we stood talking about Carl Jung. The streets were crowded, It was a week before Christmas. God damned pagans never saw it coming, did they? I took a sip from my giant aluminum can of artificially colored green, energy drink, a drag from my Pall Mall...Exhale. Yeah, lost my train of thought. Though acquainted with the subject matter, It sounded like utter gibberish to me. She stopped talking, I Obviously wasn't listening, since I couldn't make eye contact with her. My eyes were frozen on her breasts. I couldn't pull away from her voluptuous curves, assuming I had even tried in the first place.

Ok, that's all you get for now! I'm trying to make it more of a cooperative effort, for instance; I've written several chapters, however I'd like one or two other authors to blindly write the rest. The chapters are pretty mixed up though It's not like I wrote the first half and then I want them to finish, I want these multiple perspectives scattered though out.

Well thanx for reading thus far, I'll be back with more posts shortly

~Damian (A.K.A 00D)
